This summer, the Rowayton Gardeners installed a landscape feature at Bayley Beach. Boulders, earth and plants now separate the parking lot from the picnic area.
The Rowayton Gardeners meet on the first Thursday of the month at the Rowayton Community Center at 9 am. We welcome anyone interested in gardening to join us. Please contact Membership Chairman, Dossie Sullivan at 853-8109, for more information.
The annual Christmas Market will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2006 from 10am to 1pm. Decorated wreaths, boxwood trees, roping and plum puddings will again be on sale at the Community Center. |
Meetings
All meetings will be held in the Rowayton Community Center on the first Thursday
of the month, unless otherwise noted in the program.
History
The Gardener's Club was organized in 1956 and is a member of the Federated Garden
Clubs of Connecticut, Inc. and the National Garden Clubs, Inc. It's objective
is to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening among amateurs; to share
in the advantages of an association; to aid in the preservation of native plants;
and to encourage conservation and civic planning. |
