| Comedy Night 2007... It’s a Fiesta! |
|
|
Saturday, May 12 at 6:30pm, Rowayton Community Center
Join us under the tent at the Community Center for Viva La Comedy Night 2007. This year’s event will be a South of the Border Fiesta! Craig Spinney, Rowayton resident and stage manager for Jon Stewart’s “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central, will once again bring us big name comedians that will surely have you laughing your maracas off! In addition to being a great time for all, Comedy Night is one of two major fundraisers for the Rowayton Civic Association. So don that sombrero, support your town, and come join the fun!
Tickets go on sale Monday, April 23rd and include top rate entertainment, seating at a table and beer/bottled water (BYO picnic and other spirits). This event sells out quickly, so organize a group of friends, pack a picnic, and come enjoy this one-of-a-kind Rowayton event. | Kick off Summer at Rowayton’s Annual Memorial Day Parade |
Sunday, May 27 at Noon
Celebrate our town spirit at the annual Memorial Day Parade! Pick your favorite spot along Rowayton Avenue or McKinley Street and cheer for our veterans, Brien McMahon and Roton School marching bands, our commissioners, volunteer firefighters, Little Leaguers, scouts and all the many other enthusiastic marchers (even four-footed ones!).
After the parade, join fellow residents at Veteran’s Cannon to honor those who died in their service to our country. Then, head on over to the Fire House for hot dogs and soda, hosted by our local firefighters and their families. The annual Art Show, sponsored by the Rowayton Arts Center, will be in full swing at Pinkney Park. Be sure to stop by and sample some of the famous homemade strawberry shortcake, made by Rowayton Methodist parishioners. This event is truly New England and Rowayton at its finest. A perfect kick-off to summer. |
