RCA Ladrigan Swim Races & Family Fun Day

Check-in time at 9:30am, race start time at 10:30am
Celebrate the end of the summer season with the annual Arthur J. Ladrigan Swim Races and Family Fun Day at Bayley Beach on Sunday, September 2nd of Labor Day weekend.
We’ll start with the Lighthouse Race at 10:30am sharp (a one-mile swim from Green’s Ledge Lighthouse to shore). Check-in for Lighthouse Race swimmers and their kayak escorts will start at 9:30am.
Following the Lighthouse Race is the Buoy Race (a swim from the buoy to the shore). Last are the children’s swim races, which are grouped by age and run parallel to the beach.
After the awards ceremony, all are invited to join in the beach games which include a tug-of-war, a pie-eating contest and egg toss.

This is an event is comprised of three races: 1 mile Lighthouse Race, 1/4 mile Buoy Race, and the Children’s swim races.
No registration fee is required for the Children’s Races.
- The Arthur J. Ladrigan Swim Race is roughly a 1-mile swim for advanced swimmers only.
- The Buoy Race is a 1/4 mile swim from the buoy and back to shore and is for advanced swimmers only.
- The Children’s swim races are grouped by age and run parallel to the beach.
NOTE: ALL 1 MILE SWIMMERS MUST HAVE A KAYAK ESCORT. NO EXCEPTIONS! SWIMMER & KAYAK ESCORT MUST BOTH FILL OUT WAIVER.
