RCA Rowayton Youth Soccer
The 2016 Rowayton Soccer season is currently underway with well over 300 players improving their skills and enjoying friendly competition. Rowayton Youth Soccer is a recreational community soccer program run by volunteers for children from 4-18 years old and is running for 10 weeks from September 10 through November 19 this year. We have five age groups: 4-5 year olds; 6-7 year olds; 8-10 year olds; middle schoolers, and a high school team. While games are certainly competitive, recreation is our priority.
Play occurs locally in Rowayton (except for middle and high schoolers). The Saturday morning games have become a local tradition of good spirited competition, bringing both the players and parents together as a community.
This year, the RCA has made a significant investment toward our goal of continuing to improve our kid’s soccer development by contracting with a professional soccer training organization for weekday practices. Our selected training organization runs both Rec and Travel programs in New Canaan, Darien and other neighboring communities. Referees, scoring and team standings are limited to the older age groups.
Also, as a volunteer-based organization, we are always looking for parents willing to coach or act as team communication coordinators. For more information, please contact Megan Russo.
