An Evening in Asia
Fathers and your daughters are cordially invited to An Evening in Asia! Come sing, dance under the tent, sample delectable delights, visit a “dragon,” and prepare to be dazzled by all the exotic finery created just for you!
Proceeds from the Father Daughter Ball help fund the collection, services and programs for children at the Rowayton Library. For more information, go to www.rowayton.org.
Kids’ Toy Tag Sale Saturday, May 6 from 10:00am-noon
Come support this enthusiastic group of entrepreneurial kids in grades 1 through 8 who have gathered items they have either outgrown or no longer use. Expect to see gently used toys, games and kids’ gear. You never know what deals you may find!
All who enjoy discussing non-fiction about various periods in American and world history are invited to join us for lively conversation about the selected title to be announced in April. Come by the library to pick up a copy. Delicious refreshments and wine will be served.
Maybe you already have a subscription but only consistently glance at the cartoons? Or perhaps you yearn for in-depth reporting, written well without the prefab soundbites of TV news? Or you might just like to meet up with interesting individuals to talk about current events, the latest big hit on Broadway, upcoming museum exhibits worth a look all while enjoying a sip of wine and savory bites on a summer evening. If so, stop by the library and find out what selections are being discussed. The magazine issue is on us.
Pack a picnic basket, pull out a blanket and bring beach chairs to the park so you can watch your favorite movies under the stars. Stay tuned for movie titles and start times.
Readers and pre-readers of all ages are welcome to join the library’s Summer Reading Club. We will have all the information online at www.rowayton.org in June. No matter if you are cruising on a boat, taking in the scene at the beach, traveling near or far, you can participate.
