RCA Rowayton River Ramble!
Saturday, July 8, 11:00am-3:00pm
Rain date July 9
Please come join us for one of Rowayton’s most cherished events; the 47th annual RCA River Ramble!! Each July the RCA hosts this wonderful event filled with fun and entertainment at Pinkney Park, one of the town’s most treasured landmarks. For kids and young adults, there is a wide selection of exciting games and activities such as the petting zoo, pony rides, bouncy castle, giant water slide, face painting and the always entertaining dunk tank. There will also be local vendors selling art, accessories, clothing, gifts and Rowayton logo merchandise.
Each year the auction, live and silent, showcases items which can only be found at the River Ramble! Don’t forget to stop by the food tent which has our ever so popular raw bar, hamburgers, hot dogs, corn and more. You can also sip a cold beer, wine, juice, or soda while bidding on auction items, enjoying the views of the Five Mile River and dancing to live music. The River Ramble is not only a great day in our community, it is also one of the RCA’s largest fundraisers.
Proceeds from this event support several of the RCA’s community events, such as the Memorial Day Parade, Fireworks, Soccer, Summer Music Festival, Swim Races, Halloween Celebration and the Nativity Pageant. Our fundraising efforts also allow us to donate funds to our schools and other local non-profit groups.
One of the most pivotal fundraising elements for the River Ramble is the Auction. The River Ramble Auction Committee is always looking for donations from local businesses and residents. For more information on the auction, please contact Heather Drstvensek or Allyson Griffin. You can also find additional information by visiting the River Ramble page on the RCA website.
The River Ramble is a wonderful annual RCA event which relies on the support of the community. We welcome everyone to get involved in creating this great day. If you are interested in volunteering your time, providing an auction item or perhaps being a vendor at the River Ramble, please contact Heather Drstvensek for more information. Thank you in advance for your support in making the 2017 River Ramble another great success!
Cinema on the Sound
July 19 | August 2 | August 16
Start time at Dusk
After last year’s success, the RCA is happy to announce we will again be partnering with the Rowayton Library to bring you another outdoor summer movie series. Cinema on the Sound will offer three outdoor movies in Pinkney Park starting this July. All movies will be free and will be shown in high definition on large screens with a high quality sound system. It will be a perfect way to relax and spend a summer evening under the stars. The films will start at dusk, but plan to come early to get a good seat and experience the many pre-movie opportunities to eat, play and mingle with your neighbors. We encourage you to bring blankets or low-seating lawn chairs to enhance your viewing experience. Movie titles, dates, times and locations will be released in the spring and posted on the RCA website. We’re looking forward to sharing Movie Night and some popcorn with you this summer!

House Tour Returns –
Spotlight on houses
in the RBA!
Friday, September 15 – 10am-2pm
Plan on joining us on Friday, September 15 for our fifth September by the Sea Rowayton house tour. We look forward to showcasing some unique and beautiful homes to stroll through, all within walking distance from one another in the Rowayton Beach Association.
It takes many volunteers to make the tour a success. Most volunteers are able to work and enjoy the tour and we receive terrific feedback about how enjoyable the event is for all involved. We will need volunteers to offer their homes for the tour, host in the featured homes, sell tickets, or help in a variety of other ways. For more information concerning the tour or if you would like to volunteer, please contact Peter Stuart.
